The perfect white tee. Is there such a thing?
I have had many women ask me where I can find the perfect white tee shirt, or the best jeans for under $150, or the comfiest boots.
I can't answer that.
I can give you my opinion of what I love and think is great, but your perfection is not mine. I want a white tee that is slightly fitted, scoop or v-neck and I love a slub knit material.
Look up "perfect white tee" right now and it'll show you cropped, crew neck and boxy.
There is no holy grail
The problem is we think our desire and quest for something that is perfect will solve our wardrobe woes and make us fall in love with getting dressed.
How is that working out so far?
The sooner you realize there is no holy grail in ANY category, the sooner you will start shopping for YOU. Your fit, your proportions, your style, your life.
But you have to put in a little work in the beginning. Your best friend loves Kut from the Kloth straight leg jeans. Then get yourself over to a place that sells them so you can try them on. (Or start accepting you will be a buy and return person.)
I would rather shop in person all day long vs the buy and return. It's easier for me to look at trying on as just data. Not everything will fit me, so I will churn through 10 pair in a dressing room and know instead of waiting for the delivery for it all to be wrong.
Be the girl that returns
And please…**I'm begging you**…be the girl that returns. The amount of clothing that gets put into the donate pile because of a missed return window is staggering. If you are going to take this seriously, then make sure you return what you are hoping will fit. (This is most of what I teach in an hour of [Retail Reset](/personalshopping).)
(This is the part of the show where I remind you that small, local boutiques will always have the best customer service and you won't need to try that many things on. They know their styles and fits and can direct you accordingly. Denver has good ones.)
My perfect tee will not be yours, and that is how it should be! So let's find your perfect pieces. ❤️
Please don't feel discouraged- the fashion industry spends millions promising solutions. But we know better, we are smart women! Because why would they give us the perfect white tee when they try to give us a new and different perfect white tee every season?😉
Remember all the ways you are marketed to and just give a quick pause before purchase. You will end up with pieces that you love, and that will be perfect for you!
