Your Closet Will Always Reflect Your Emotions- A Denver Wardrobe Stylist's Perspective

Closet Organization Denver-It's More Than Just Decluttering

Excess or deprivation...either way, my closet reflected my emotional state of mind.

I have swung from a closet stuffed with clothing to wearing the same pair of jeans all winter out of stubbornness.

Neither one was really ideal.

At the peak of my revenge shopping (catch up here—it's not my proudest moment), I was using shopping as an emotional outlet.

But then 15 years later, there was the winter where I couldn't fit in anything so I bought 1 new pair of jeans and told myself I wasn't buying anything until I fit back in those other pants I had.

Which makes no sense!! If I could fit into the other pants, then I could fit in the other pants and wouldn't need to worry about buying new ones. 🙄

Quite a story I was spinning.

Honoring Your Wardrobe Stories

I get a lot of stories in closets. I love it when you tell me that this was your grandmother's wool coat or the T-shirt from a concert you went to in high school. We find a way to honor those memories because I believe that cherished items aren't clutter.

(I will tell you to move them out of your immediate eye line—you can't keep flipping through things you're not wearing without it messing with your decision making process)

But some of the other stories aren't so heartwarming, and that's ok too, it's still a part of your story.

Wardrobe Therapy-When Clothes Hold You Back *

Have you ever been lamenting the life you have and constantly looking at clothing for a life you used to live? Many think it's the corporate/dressy clothing that is shoved in the back while you have 2 kids under 5 and really, really wish you could leave and have some peace and quiet for the day.

But it can also be you standing and sighing as you dig through all the clothes from before the divorce...or before the big career change...before life changed everything.

The Hidden Cost of Keeping Clothes That Don't Fit

Here's what nobody talks about—keeping clothes that don't fit sends a subtle message every morning that you don't deserve to feel beautiful today.

And that's what I'm here to call BS on.

Who are you TODAY?
Not 10 years ago, not 10 lbs from now.

We are here to celebrate the bold and brave and brilliant and beautiful woman you are today.

Denver Closet Organizer Services-

Wardrobe Transformation for Your Current Life

As a Denver wardrobe stylist and closet organizer, I work with women who are ready to let go of the emotional weight their closets carry. Whether you're:

  • Transitioning from corporate life to stay-at-home mom or vice versa!

  • Navigating post-divorce wardrobe changes-let’s keep the best and pass along the memories you’d rather not relive.

  • Adjusting to body changes after pregnancy or menopause- it happens to all of us and it’s ridiculous to try to make yourself fit into clothing instead of finding clothing that fits you!

  • Shifting careers and needing a new professional image-you need to show the world how amazing you are and perhaps that means leveling up your wardrobe.

  • Simply ready to dress for the life you're living NOW-TODAY-IN ALL YOUR GLORY and MESS!

You deserve a closet that reflects who you are today, not who you were or who you think you should be.

If you're feeling angsty about getting dressed, give yourself permission to find a few pieces that will get you through the transition. As a Denver personal stylist, I have lots of places I can recommend where you can find fun pieces at great prices.
